Avem placerea sa va invitam la workshop-ul "Engineering Modelling & Simulation - Where We Are, Near Future Trends" care va avea loc joi, 12.05.2016, ora 15:00 la Facultatea de Inginerie, corp cladire G, sala G208.

Agenda:
1. Current capabilities and development trends for ANSYS CFD modeling & simulation software platform, and their value in
conjunction with the modern High Performance Computing hardware. 2. A brief presentation of the HPC system (52 processors, 624 cores) from "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati.
3. Practical applications of ANSYS CFD using High Performance Computing:
• Marine applications - evaluation of hull drag, including wave drag, with and without appendages, ship stability and maneuverability calculations by simulating static drift and PMM tests, and the investigation of complex dynamic interactions between propeller, rudder and hull, using multiphase dynamic mesh modeling;
• Automotive applications - vehicle drag estimation and the assessment of forces and moments acting on the vehicle during crosswind driving using accurate Large Eddy Simulation modeling.
