Achieving ISO 26262 Functional Safety Compliance with Ansys medini analyze4 Martie 2021

Ora: 08:00 (Romania)

Vehicle safety-critical functions rely on complex electronics and software. As such, malfunctions resulting from electronic component failure or software defects can create hazards. Further, there may be significant financial and legal implications facing vehicle manufactures, which may cascade down the supply chain.

Functional safety analysis of critical items is an important activity performed by both automotive OEMs and tier supplier. To efficiently address risk, this analysis systematically analyzes the functions, assesses the design and determines possible hazards resulting due to malfunctions, faults, or defects. This requires exhaustive analysis of the system using multiple analysis techniques to derive various artifacts and metrics that comply with the ISO 26262 standard. Using an integrated safety analysis and model-driven approach, Ansys medini analyze can reduce manpower effort up to 50% for ensuring ISO 26262 compliance.

This webinar showcases medini analyze’s capabilities, providing a deep dive into how it helps perform safety analysis and design according to ISO 26262 for E/E systems and software. It will highlight how to perform item definition and hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) and item architecture and how to meet safety goals and requirements. Additionally, we will discuss medini analyze’s ability to perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), failure mode and effects diagnostics analysis (FMEDA), fault tree analysis (FTA) and dependent failure analysis (DFA). Lastly, we will spotlight how it supports hazard and operability analysis (HAZOP), requirement traceability, failure prediction and reporting.
